My Manners Printable Pack for Young Children

My Manners Printable Pack for Young Children

I have plans to do a few sets of printable packs based on social concepts. I’ve already done two on feelings and emotions, but I wanted to get into other realms as well. So, to start I’m going to share a printable pack based on manners. It’s something that we’re working on with Squeaker and with Sweet B. With Squeaker, it’s using words like “please, thank you, and excuse me” while with Sweet B, it’s working on sign languages for “please, and thank you”. I think, however, that this free manners flash card set will be useful for both of them.  Tips for Teaching Manners to Younger Kids As a parent, you have a lot of different things to focus on, from making sure they…

Teaching Kids To Give Back

Teaching Kids To Give Back

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GiveHappiness #CollectiveBias Though it’s an important concept to work on throughout the year, during this time of the year, it’s a great time to start teaching kids to give back. Or, if you’d rather, you can call it paying it forward. Whatever the case may be, it’s the time of year that I think is ideal to teach this all important lesson. Along with teaching kids gratitude, empathy, respect, and manners; teaching kids to give back is one of my top and foremost priorities. I feel that it truly does go a long way in life when they learn to give back. But how can we go about…

2016 Holidays and Observances

I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it, but I have such a fascination with holidays and observances. Sometimes I’ll look for ways to incorporate them into my own traditions when it comes to holidays and other times, I just enjoy learning about different holidays. Practically every day of the year has some sort of holiday or observance connected to it, and every month stands for something different as well. That’s why, for this week’s Freebie Friday, I’ve complied together a full listing of 2016 holidays and observances. I will admit that it was supposed to be out last year, but I updated as much as I could on the original file. This printable pack would be great for bloggers looking to plan their editorial…

Thanksgiving Shopping Choices

How early do you get your holiday shopping done? For some, it may mean purchasing things throughout the year. For others, it may mean waiting until the last minute. And for others, it may mean waiting until one of the best shopping weekends of the year: Thanksgiving weekend. In the past, it just meant going out for Black Friday and then along came Cyber Monday. Now, there are a handful of stores that start their holiday deals on Thanksgiving. And while this may seem like a controversial move on the part of the retailers, it also opens up a new venue of savings for holiday shoppers. But where do you stand when it comes to Thanksgiving shopping choices? Are you a Black Friday go-getter, a…

Free Halloween Coloring Pack

So I’ll admit, I had all of these plans to make Halloween printable packs. I had my ideas listed and I had my files set up at the end of September. And then October got here and I just kept putting it off. Not a really good excuse, I know, but I wanted to at least share something for Halloween. I’m also hoping to get back in the habit of posting printables on a more consistent basis. At the very least they will be posted weekly, though starting in December- you can expect a special twelve days of Christmas/holiday printables. But that’s in December and this is October, so let’s get to that free Halloween coloring pack! This pack would be great for last minute…
