Coloring Book Gift Ideas for Adults

I have never been much of an artist. I did enjoy Japanese brush painting as a child and sometimes I do like to doodle a little or draw trees. But, I was never really artistically inclined. Music, definitely. But art? Not so much. That hasn’t changed too much as I’ve gotten older though now, I find coloring to be quite fun. Coloring, for me, can also be therapeutic. That’s why I wanted to share these coloring book gift ideas for adults.

Let’s start with the coloring books. Some are still somewhat kid friendly. While others are definitely for adults. It really depends on you or the gift recipient as to which direction you want to go.

Then, of course, you need to consider how you want to color. You may prefer pencils to pens. Or you can use crayons. I love using colored pencils, but if I do use those, I also want to make sure that I have a quality eraser. Just in case.

Whether you decide to go with pens or pencils, you can bring your creations to life.

Now, I’ll admit- I’m not one to always jump on trends. In fact, if something is considered to be trendy? I’m more likely to avoid it all costs. I’d rather do my own thing than go with what’s popular. Eventually, I might give in and see what the big deal is.

I can say, quite safely, the adult coloring book trend is something that I’m glad that I caught onto. It’s fun, relaxing, and depending on the style of coloring book that I have, I can do this alongside my toddler.

Who knows, I may just get a few of these adult coloring books for myself and for my autistic teen. I think she’d enjoy it just as much as I do.
