Simple St. Patrick’s Day Printable Pack

I’m going to start something new with the printable packs that I create. First, I’ll share a simple version and then I’ll have the expanded version. The simple version will usually just feature an activity or two. This one, for example, is all about coloring pages. I hope that you enjoy my simple St. Patrick’s Day printable pack and be sure to look for the expanded version soon. You can see a few pages of the pack in action in my Simple St. Patrick’s Day Art Ideas for Toddlers. We finger painted and use Do a Dot markers but you can use whatever materials you like for this coloring pack. By downloading this pack, you are agreeing to my Terms of Use, whether you have…

St. Patrick’s Day Sensory Bottles

Continuing with our St. Patrick’s day theme for School with Squeaker, today we’re turning our sights to sensory play. While I’m waiting for the rest of our supplies to get here for the sensory bin, today I’d like to share our simple St. Patrick’s Day sensory bottles. Though Squeaker didn’t really show much interest in sensory bottles in the past, she did seem to enjoy these. Turkey, Quinoa, and Spinach Casserole

So, we’ve been on a bit of a spinach kick lately. Personally, I love spinach and Squeaker seems to be following in my footsteps. Kyle, while he did not grow up liking spinach, has taken a liking to it as an adult. Lucky me because that means I can try out all the spinach recipes I want! So, when I wanted another opportunity to cook with quinoa I googled and found a recipe that was right up my alley. With a few modifications and we had a tasty turkey, quinoa, and spinach casserole. Not that the original wasn’t tasty, but we wanted to make our own modifications to it. You can find the original recipe on iFoodReal. So, yes… delicious and tasty. Also hearty and…

Moving Away from a Sedentary Lifestyle

Moving Away from a Sedentary Lifestyle

As a blogger, I do spend quite a bit of time in front of my computer and seated at my desk. Though not all of the time, because I’m still running after Squeaker or playing with her but often enough, I think. This is not a habit that I want to continue, but at the same time, I’m also starting to rethink my career choice. But that’s another post for another day. Today, I want to talk about moving away from a sedentary lifestyle and staying active during the day. How to Start Moving Away from a Sedentary Lifestyle So, clearly no one is going to intentionally sit down all day long and not do anything. Even on those days, you still have to get…

Learning About World Landmarks

With Sweet B’s week off from school, we did some of the activities that we would normally do in our afterschooling during the day. First, we reinforced her Letter A skills. And the next thing that we did was use our Early Explorers kit from last month so we could start learning about world landmarks. I wasn’t sure how Sweet B was going to do with this particular set, but then it was just a matter of tailoring it to fit her abilities. Just like everything we do with her afterschooling, I modify what I need to modify so she can accomplish it but still be challenged.
