What’s Inside My Winter Workout Toolkit

Just because Winter is approaching, doesn’t mean that I’m going to put a damper on my workout routine. However, it also means making it a bit more portable so I have it all times. That means being able to workout on the go and at home.
So, aside from a good pair of shoes and comfortable clothing, here’s what I have in my Winter workout toolkit:
Would you believe that I actually don’t have a gym bag? Instead I use the diaper bag. It’s convenient, it saves me from having to tote around two bags (and forget two bags)… and I’ll be honest- I was reluctant to start carrying a diaper bag.
However, when we took our first cross country trip, I realized how convenient it was to have a diaper bag handy.
Now, I use it for every day outings. Including trips to the gym.
This is also useful for trips to the park or other indoor places where I decide that I need to get my workout on.
But what exactly do I include?
- My water bottle
- a resistance band
- a small exercise peanut (the bumpy looking green thing)
- Ultra Strength BENGAY® Cream
- Extra Strength TYLENOL®
I am a fan of yoga classes lately but even those can be somewhat demanding on my unflexible body. It helps for me to have something like Ultra Strength BENGAY® Cream with me at all times. And it’s easy to carry around in my diaper bag.
When we’re closer to home or on the go and staying somewhere else, I also carry around my yoga mat.
My exercise peanut works nicely in place of a larger exercise ball for back support. And it’s also nice to have when my back decides that it’s had enough. Back pain, when severe enough, will put me on the sidelines. And I really don’t want that to happen.
That’s why Ultra Strength BENGAY® Cream has become an important part of my diaper bag and overall winter workout toolkit. I can find the relief that I need without having to take away too much time from my family.
I find my Winter workout toolkit must haves near the pharmacy section at my local Target.
What’s in your Winter workout toolkit?
