What to Pack for an Emergency

If a natural disaster were to hit your area, would you know what to do? Would you have an emergency pack ready to go? For that matter, what would be in your emergency pack? Off the top of our heads, we usually think of things like food items, flashlights, batteries, etc. But do we always know what to pack for an emergency? I will admit, packing for an emergency or natural disaster is not something that I’m fully prepared for. Sure, we try to make sure that our house is stocked with a few staple items in case the power goes out or if we get snowed in. But, beyond that, we need to prepare better. Now, I’m not talking about prepping but we’ll get…

M is for Monkey Tot School Unit

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #FuelTheirAdventures #CollectiveBias Though our Tot school is still very much informal at this point, sometimes we do more in depth themes. And by in depth, I mean somewhat in depth as Squeaker’s attention span is still quite short. Still, I try to capitalize on her interests at the time and the most recent theme that we tried out was based on monkeys. To make it more of a theme, we decided on M is for Monkey as our tot school theme. We may revisit this in the future. For Squeaker, I wanted to keep this simple, yet fun. So I started looking through the books that we have…

Free The Walking Dead Printables

With The Walking Dead returning in October and the prequel series, Fear The Walking Dead underway, I wanted to share some quick The Walking Dead printables that I whipped up. And if you’re more of a fan of the dead ones, I’ll have those available next week. The Walking Dead has become one of my favorite tv shows and I can’t wait to see what happens in season six! I am enjoying Fear The Walking Dead, so far… though the two main teenage characters are getting on my nerves. I suppose that’s a good thing though and speaks well of their acting ability? Whatever the case may be, these printables are related to The Walking Dead series. . For this printable set, there are two…

Freebie Friday: Creation Story for Toddlers

Picking up where we left off last week with the Apostle’s Creed for Toddlers, today’s pack is all about The Creation Story (as told in the KJV version)- making this the second in our series of Christian Printable Packs for Kids. Most of the packs, like today’s, will be Bible story based and others, like last week’s, will be more of a concept or important tenant of faith. We’ll continue to work our way through the Old Testament and then cover some New Testament. I’m also hoping to have all the packs bundled together into one big download. The download will include a few exclusive extras and be available to purchase for a very small fee. This pack is on the longer side in terms…

Freebie Friday: Apostle’s Creed for Toddlers

Welcome back to another Freebie Friday! I’m making it a goal to get back on track with these and this week I have one to share that I hope you’ll love! As a Christian, I know that it’s my responsibility to share that faith with my children and to make sure that they understand the basics of their faith. Part of this is the Apostle’s Creed and I was trying to think of ways to teach that to Squeaker and Sweet B. Visuals work for Sweet B, so why not Squeaker. After looking through my clipart, I came up with a printable Apostle’s Creed for Toddlers – which is a combination of clipart and text. Why teach the Apostle’s Creed? The apostle’s creed is easier…

Having Fun with the Itsy Bitsy Spider

Squeaker absolutely nursery rhymes and finger plays right now. One of her favorites just so happens to be the Itsy Bitsy Spider. We do this one often and she’s getting to the point where she can do some of the motions independently. She’s also attempting to say itsy bitsy. To help facilitate this, I made a printable pack for her so we can do other activities. We’re having fun with the itsy bitsy spider and I hope that you will too! We will also be using this soon in our Afterschooling series, so be sure to look out for the post! For now this is just your download and coming soon, I’ll share what we did to supplement our mini unit/first theme for Tot School…
