Bored in your bedroom? It’s a common occurrence, but the good news is you can change things up pretty easily if you follow the guidance below.

Your furniture

One of the most obvious and effective ways of giving your bedroom a whole new look is to change up your furniture. For most people that means exchanging their old bedroom suite for another, more up-to-date version. There are plenty of styles to choose from as well, including sleek and modern, shabby chic, and classic farmhouse. Be sure to choose one that not only appeals to you aesthetically but also provides a pleasing and calm atmosphere in which to relax. After all, bedrooms are designed primarily for sleep.

On the other hand, some people do not have matching bedroom furniture suites and prefer to use a collection of eclectic pieces to create the look they want. If this is the case for you, replacing every piece at once can be a bit overwhelming. Instead, look at choosing a single piece to change out, or bring the different styles together and create a new look by using chalk paint.

The color of your walls

Another easy way to change up the look of your bedroom is to change the color of the walls. Indeed, this simple task that can be completed within a single day can completely transform the look of a room, and make it feel brand new.

Choose darker colors to make your bedroom seem cozier, and lighter colors to give it a feeling of airiness and space. Alternatively, you might want to go for some wallpaper on one or all of the walls. Right now maximalist heavily patterned paper in rich colors with jungle themes is particularly popular.

Your bed linen

You can also create a wonderful new look in your bedroom by simply changing your bed linen. This has to be the easiest way to achieve a new look because all it entails is choosing some new beautiful bed linen that matches your taste and then changing the bed. No paintbrushes or wallpaper paste in sight! For a calming space choose plain linens in white or block colors, and for added interest and texture opt for patterned linens.

The art on your walls

Last, of all, you can easily transform the look of a bedroom by replacing the artwork on your walls. Indeed, there are several options to consider when doing this including framed prints, original artworks, and mirrors.

Framed prints are a great way of introducing pieces from your favorite artists into your bedroom space at a reasonable cost. Genuine artworks are likely to be more expensive but can create a wonderful focal point in a bedroom, especially if hung above the headboard. Finally, mirrors are wonderful at reflecting light and making a space seem larger and brighter. They also come in a range of designs from modern and sleek, to more vintage baroque styles so you will always find one that fits the aesthetic of your new bedroom.
