So You Want to Be an Overnight Millionaire? Don’t Be a Blogger

So You Want to Be an Overnight Millionaire? Don’t Be a Blogger

If you’ve been following my recent monthly online income reports, you’ll know that I’ve had a fairly successful string of months. Would I be able to survive on this income or support my family? Probably not. But it’s definitely a step in the right direction. Now while I am more than pleased to have reached this milestone, it’s a matter of sustaining that and growing that. Blogging, however, can be an unpredictable and stressful game. One month may be amazing and the next month could be dismal. And with the amount of hours that goes into it? Sometimes I wonder if it’s really worth the effort. To be perfectly honest with you, it wouldn’t be. If I were just in this for money and making…

I’m More Than a Mommy Blogger

I’m More Than a Mommy Blogger

First, let me say this- I am proud to be a mom blogger. For that matter, you can call me a mommy blogger and I won’t be offended. At heart, that’s what I am. I’m a mom with a blog. But there’s so much more to my blogging career than just being a mommy blogger. For one, you’re discounting that (as a mostly one-person team), I do my own tech support (within my ability), I schedule my own social media, I answer (late) my own emails. I send out my own newsletter (when I remember) and I create my own images. Sure, I don’t take all of my own pictures yet but that will be changing over time too. And I’m not alone in this….

Yes it is entirely possible to earn an income from blogging! This is just how one mom is doing it.

July 2016 Income and Traffic Report + Goals for August

It’s so hard for me to believe that it’s already August! I did set up a to-do list for the summer but it’s not nearly as complete as I’d like it to be. A lot of it has to do with building my email subscriber list and creating a paid member’s area. It also has to do with finding the time to do everything. Which, I’m now watching my niece several days a week. So having her here has been fun… but also somewhat challenging. It’s also given me some pretty good ideas for blog posts and activities. Anyway, moving on to the latest monthly income report! Please do note that while I call these monthly income reports, this is solely from blogging income at…

How This Blogging Mom is Protecting Her Eyes

How This Blogging Mom is Protecting Her Eyes

“This sponsored post is a part of the campaign “Protecting America’s Eyes” by Reticare in order to inform U.S. citizens about the importance of eye protection from device screens. The opinions expressed in this post are entirely my own.” As a blogger, I spend quite a bit of time in front of a screen. It’s almost unavoidable. And though I try to limit my time on the computer, there are times that I will go longer stretches. I like to work in batches whenever possible because it helps me to save time in the long run. Or at least that’s what I tell myself. But I also know that by spending longer periods of time in front of the computer, it’s more time that my…

Morning Essentials for a Productive Blogging Day

Morning Essentials for a Productive Blogging Day

The post is brought to you by Activate by Bloglovin and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. Powered By: Are you a morning person? And for that matter, what type of morning person are you? Are you ready to take on the day or could you use an extra hour or two to find your capability to function? I’ve never been a true morning person. Sure, I can get up early when I need to but the thought of sleeping in never seems to register with my body on the weekends. Still, I try to make the most of it and go about what I need to do to get myself and my kids ready for the day. And for me that means having…

Is Network Marketing a Good Fit for Moms Who Want to Work at Home?

Is Network Marketing a Good Fit for Moms Who Want to Work at Home?

As you know, I’m making the transition from being a stay at home mom to being a work at home mom. The transition hasn’t always been easy as I’m also trying to figure out what the base of my work will be. Sure, it may seem simple enough- brainstorm a list of ideas for working at home and then go from there. But that’s in theory and sometimes theory is a lot easier than putting everything into action. I’ve had many business ideas in the past, most of which never came to fruition. And that was all for lack of taking action. So if there’s anyone to blame for my non-business success? It’s me. So why is it different now? Why do I still feel…
