Sharing is caring!

From watching movies to playing games together, parents often look for ways to spend time with kids. It strengthens their bond, builds self-esteem, and boosts their emotional health. Moreover, it sends a message, i.e., “We will always be by your side, cheering for you.”

However, it is easier said than done. Kids tend to get bored easily. So, parents need something that keeps them engaged for at least a few hours. Otherwise, your little one will take the matter into their own hands. And you already know how it ends up. They will either begin to show tantrums, or they might roam around the house to discover something interesting.

To save you from this hassle, we’ve created a list of fun and easy crafts you and your kids can try. And the best part? These crafts are functional, so you can use them for everyday household chores.

So, let’s begin!

Airplane Clothespins

If you have clothespins lying around in the house, transform them into something cute with your kids. In fact, it will only take a few minutes, yet it looks super adorable. Here’s what you need for this:

  • Wooden clothespin
  • Craft Stick
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Paste two craft sticks at the top and bottom of the clothespin. Cut one stick in half and glue it at the end of the top. Now, cut an even small piece to create a fin. If you want, you can also paint the wings created with the color of your kid’s choice. And this is it! Your super cute airplane clothespins are ready to use.

Resin Table Top

Do you have an old tabletop you wish to upgrade? If so, this easy kids’ craft idea can help you. To create your epoxy table, all you need is the following:

  • Old table
  • Epoxy resin
  • Rubber gloves
  • Plastic cups

Take your table outdoors so your kids don’t make a mess inside. Now, prepare your mixture with one part resin and one part hardener. Pour the mixture into separate cups.

Use these cups to pour the mixture on the table. Let it sit for a while, and then pour the second layer. You can do this as long as you are unsatisfied with the results. And there you have your as-good-as-new epoxy resin table.

Tip: Make sure to let the mixture dry before moving the table into the living room.

Tie Dye Sharpie Bookmark

Last but not least, your kids can make these super fun and colorful bookmarks. It requires:

  • Sharpies (of course)
  • Clear plastic jug
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Ribbon
  • Hole punch
  • Spray varnish
  • Scissors

Once you have all the supplies, cut out small pieces from a plastic jug. Paint them in different colors (go wild with them). Now, use rubbing alcohol to create a tie-dye effect. Once it dries, use spray varnish to prevent the paint from rubbing off. Allow it to dry, and punch a hole to thread a ribbon. And your DIY bookmark is ready!
