Freebie Friday: Free Printable ASL Alphabet Flashcards Pack

Freebie Friday: Free Printable ASL Alphabet Flashcards Pack

For myself and my nonverbal autistic daughter, American Sign Language was one of the first ways that we communicated at home. I was familiar with some basic ASL and thought, why not teach it to her? It worked out so well. The repetition of sign language was right up her learning alley and we learned quickly that it was so much easier on both of us. I hope that these free printable ASL flashcards will help you and your child as well. Please note that the flashcard featured in the below image is not the same set that you will receive.  Why teach ASL to kids? I have touched on the benefits of teaching babies sign language and we are still working on basic sign language with…

Books and a Printable Pack for MLK Jr. Day

Books and a Printable Pack for MLK Jr. Day

Every year on the third Monday of January, the United States observes Martin Luther King Jr. Day (or MLK Jr. Day) in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. For most, it just means a day off from school and a three day weekend. This year, I’m sharing a list of books and a printable pack for MLK Jr. Day. The books are divided by recommended age group and the mini printable pack contains pages that are suitable for multiple ages. Don’t feel pressured to use all of the pages. And if you’re looking for even more ideas, be sure to check…

And who knows, maybe one of these days I’ll really get around to making a big printable pack. Hopefully soon, I’ll have a blog post to go along with this pack (either with B or Squeaker… maybe both- as that’s how I intend to use it). I’m not sure if I can make an age recommendation because there’s…
