Though it’s officially spring, it certainly hasn’t felt like it every day. Sure, sometimes the sun shines brightly but more often than not there’s cloudy skies to be found. We’ve taken it upon ourselves (we being Squeaker and I) to bring a little bit of sunshine indoors. We made our “You Are My Sunshine” craft for Mother’s Day this year and on that same day, we did three more sun themed crafts. Maybe we’ll turn this into a Sun and Moon unit in the future and use some of these sun crafts for preschoolers. Easy Toilet Paper Roll Apple Stamping

The early apples were available at the Farmer’s market, and to me- that’s a sure sign that Fall is just around the corner. I love this time of the year for the leaf changing, apples, and all things pumpkin. To celebrate the return of fresh, local apples, Squeaker and I did a simple toilet paper roll apple stamping art project. I am one of those moms who saves toilet paper rolls, because well, you never know when you’ll be able to use them for crafts and art projects. Watercolor Painting for Toddlers

As we do our informal tot school over the summer, I’ve been looking for different ways to get Squeaker engaged. It’s not something that I want to force with her because I want her to enjoy the summer. We’ve been spending a bit of time outside, but only when it’s not too humid or hot. Most of the time she’s content to just play in her little wading pool or we’ll head up to the park to go play in the splash pool. Yesterday though, we tried out something different. The end result?
