How to Build a Blog That You Love and Make Money

When I first started making the transition to being a professional blogger; I had no clue as to what I was doing. My blog was all over the place and I was probably using the wrong methods to grow my traffic. My social media numbers were not growing organically and I was in over my head. Maybe two months or so in, and I was ready to give up. It was difficult for me to see how someone could possibly make money blogging. But I knew it was possible because I saw it. I was surrounded by it. It was something that I was watching and a part of. And it was something that I wanted for me. My goals, when I finally made up…

I’m More Than a Mommy Blogger

I’m More Than a Mommy Blogger

First, let me say this- I am proud to be a mom blogger. For that matter, you can call me a mommy blogger and I won’t be offended. At heart, that’s what I am. I’m a mom with a blog. But there’s so much more to my blogging career than just being a mommy blogger. For one, you’re discounting that (as a mostly one-person team), I do my own tech support (within my ability), I schedule my own social media, I answer (late) my own emails. Not that I don’t honor and appreciate my own mom- I do. But I’d rather show that 365 than just one day of the year. Sure, I made her handmade gifts and bought her cards. But now that I’m…

Why Bloggers Need Bloggers

With these baby steps to blogging posts being so sporadic, I want to try setting up a more predictable schedule for when they’ll get posted. I do plan on going back to the How to Make Money Blogging mini-series, but for right now; I want to touch on something that I feel is equally important. Actually, if I’m going to be honest, I think that this is even more important than monetizing. It’s about bloggers supporting bloggers because I fully believe that bloggers need bloggers. As a blogger, I think community and networking are a huge part of what I do. I belong to various blog support groups on Facebook and to numerous blog networks. But why? Could I succeed on my own? Possibly, but…
