Post pregnancy is not always a fun time for us women. Our bodies are never quite the same after having children and I’m perfectly okay with that. Granted, it did take me some time to come to terms with the fact that I won’t be able to shimmy my way into a favorite skirt or pair of pants… but I’ve also been more than happy to trade those for comfy yoga pants any day. One issue that has troubled me, especially after having Squeaker, was occasional leakage. Yes, I admit it- leaks happen and they happen to me. But now I’m taking control of my post pregnancy body. Or at least as much as mother nature will allow.
Pregnancy changed me and my body in so many ways.
And it did take me awhile to come to terms with the fact that my body would never be 100% the same.
It didn’t take me long, however, to realize that my body wasn’t going to wait for me to come to terms with anything. In fact, my body was going to do whatever it was going to do- whether I liked it or not.
And this included things that happened during pregnancy as the return of the leaks happened. When I was pregnant with Squeaker, there were days during my later stages of pregnancy that I couldn’t sneeze, laugh heartily, or sometimes walk without leaks. It wasn’t too embarrassing because I could just chalk it up to being pregnant.
After pregnancy, however, it was still an issue and one that I hated to admit to having.
Ultimately, I had to face the facts. Leaks happen and I had to find a way to deal with it. I didn’t want to always wear pads, even if the options have come a long way. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that there was a different option out there thanks to Poise Impressa.
Believe me, I was skeptical at first about the claims that it was making. But, I was also willing to give it a try. You can learn more about Poise Impressa and read about additional real life stories.
Thanks to Poise Impressa, I’ve been able to take back a part of my life. I can go out for long walks with my daughters, play Ring around the Rosie in our living room and exercise without worry.
If a family member is telling a story, I don’t have to worry about having a hearty belly laugh and an unexpected wet spot.
So, what’s so great about Poise Impressa?
For starters, it’s not about the size of your leak, it’s about how much you weigh. The Poise Impressa sizing kit will help you with figuring out which size is best for you. You start with size 1 and if that doesn’t work, move on to the next size up.
Pretty simple, right?
You cannot use Poise Impressa while you’re pregnant or while you have your period. You can wear them for up to 8 hours in a 24 hour time period and you don’t have to remove them when you go to the bathroom. Poise Impressa was not designed to absorb leaks, but rather to help prevent them from happening in the first place.
So where can you find this nifty product?
Well, we were at our local CVS doing a quick shopping trip to stock up on items for the diaper bag. We keep that stocked with coloring books, board books, crayons, and snacks.
Naturally, Squeaker honed in on the Frozen stuff so we got a few of those items for the bag.
As we continued to browse through the store, and in a search for disposable razors, we came across the Poise Impressa sizing kit.
And, while supplies last, you can get an exclusive coupon to save on your Poise Impressa sizing kit.
Have you ever experienced leaks? Be sure to share your story on how you’re dealing with it.
