Sometimes, as a mom, I need a quick pick me up to keep up with Squeaker… who seems to have endless amounts of energy. I wonder where she gets all of this energy from (and if it’s possible to bottle it somehow). But until I can figure that out, I know that I can always turn to a few quick snacks to quickly replenish my energy. I usually rely on a quick protein boost and recently wanted to change up my routine a bit. I’ve always known that various nuts are a great boost, so I decided to give those a try recently.
I love these for a quick pick-me-up because I can keep them right on my desk without having to worry about them going stale or not being refrigerated. And Squeaker likes playing with the canister when I’m not grabbing a quick bite. So it’s a win-win for us.
Another reason I love these? They’re great to pair with other snacks like a fresh peach, slices of cheese, or just naturally enjoyable on it’s own. Regardless of how I’m eating them, I know that they’re great for my afternoon energy boost.
I also love that I can take these with me wherever I go. All I have to do is just toss them in the diaper bag or storage area under the stroller when I take Squeaker to the park or for a walk around the neighborhood. Any snack that’s portable and easy to access on the go is a definite plus in my book. I can also take these along with me when we’re out running errands on the weekends or just out and about with the family.
For right now though, they’re perfect to keep right on my desk. I can snack on them throughout the day when I’m blogging or doing something else work related on the computer. And later today, I’ll be sure to put this canister in the diaper bag when we have errands to run…. or for a quick trip to the local ice cream parlor so Squeaker can beat the heat.
