I almost feel like a hypocrite as I’m about to post about these Nutella Cup Cookies, especially since I just posted about reducing sugar in your diet and even more so because today is also Fitness Friday. However, I think it’s also okay to indulge once in awhile (which means I really need to get my workout in gear), and for me- these cookies fill that purpose.
After two, I’ve more than satisfied my sweet tooth and my body is telling me the same thing. After searching google for a homemade peanut butter nutella cup recipe and then realizing that I didn’t have the patience to wait for it to set, I found a recipe for Peanut Butter Nutella Cookie Cups from Barbara Bakes.
And since I was also hard pressed for time, I took a shortcut and used ready made Peanut Butter Cookie dough.
I took some to church and they were devoured. I got a lot of compliments on them afterwards about how good they were. Kyle’s boys had some as well and declared them to be delicious. I got four thumbs up (two from each), for my efforts.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love Nutella?
Well, I really do but I try not to eat it too often because it’s packed with sugar and if I eat too much of it, I get a headache. But, everything in moderation… as they say. And these are delectable. In two bites or less, this tasty morsel is in my tummy. My sweet tooth is more than satisfied and I don’t feel like I have to devour the entire jar of Nutella to get my fix.
So, to whomever invented Nutella, I thank you. And to the genius who decided to make February 5th (my birthday!) World Nutella Day, I thank you. Now I have an excuse to have a Nutella frosted cake.
