People with urge incontinence usually feel the need to urinate even by simply hearing the sound of gushing water, touching something watery or drinking a small amount of water.
People who suffer more than one type of incontinence experience mixed type incontinence. This means that you may have stress incontinence that may become functional incontinence.
How to Treat Incontinence in Women
Kegel exercises may help strengthen the muscles responsible for controlling urination. Strengthening or retaining pelvic floor muscle functionality may help reduce stress incontinence.
Just what are Kegel exercises?
The Kegel exercise was developed by Dr. Arnold Kegel to strengthen the pelvic muscles. Kegels have been touted as a pelvic muscle strengthener for many, many moons. They can’t really be seen when you do them because you are in essence just tightening the muscles inside your vagina as if holding in your pee.
