As moms we tend to put ourselves and our own needs last. Or at least nowhere near the top of our priority list. I’m plenty guilty of this too until it finally occurred to me; if I’m not taking care of myself- I’m really not doing my family many favors. So while I can try and compensate, I also knew that I had to make taking care of myself more of a priority. Now, while I may not have chronic health issues, I do have my fair share. Now, this is something that I do struggle with. Sure, I might be getting better at the self-care thing or looking out for my mental health. But fitness? Not so much. Common and Not So Common Health Issues
For full disclosure, and for sake of being completely transparent with you, I’ll tell you this: I have subclinical hyperthyroid, I was born with a heart murmur, I am at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes, I have eczema, I have seasonal and indoor allergies. I am lactose intolerant and I also get migraines (food triggered). So that’s why I cover these topics from time to time.
