Last year, I made an adorable card for Kyle with Squeaker’s footprints and a poem. I had this done early in June and I had a clear cut idea of what I wanted to do. This year? I’ll admit, I’m kind of stuck. I also want to do something for my dad who lives in California involving Squeaker and short of face time on Skype, I wasn’t sure what to do. I knew I had Skype on my Intel Tablet , so I went exploring to see what else I could find.
I found this app, which seemed promising enough, so I thought I’d give it a try to help create a quick card for Kyle. We’ll probably make a card as well and maybe look up a recipe for a good carrot cake. I enjoy baking and I have yet to attempt a carrot cake so we’ll see how it goes!
Anyway, on to our card 🙂
After poking through the app for a bit, I figured out what to do and went from there:
First, we took a selfie- which is one of Squeaker’s favorite things to do lately… or take videos of herself just babbling and doing Squeaker things. I wanted to do a picture of both of us because I figured I could also use this picture for a card for my dad.
Our next step was to add some simple text.
And then adding in some clipart to make it a little bit more than just the picture and text.
My only complaint was that I couldn’t make the picture bigger, but that’s okay. I think it still turned out to be pretty cute.
Once I was done making edits, I sent the card to Kyle’s e-mail address and then we started making another card for my dad.
So that’s just one of the ways that we’re using our Intel Tablet to celebrate Father’s Day. We’ll also be looking up a recipe and some craft instructions so I can keep that on the table instead of printing it out.
