Mommy Camp for Toddlers Week 3: Alphabet

Welcome back to another week of Mommy Camp for Toddlers! This week it’s all about the alphabet. And while I’m not suggesting that your toddler will learn all of the letters the alphabet in a week, this is a good way to introduce the alphabet in a traditional way. For us, since we’re going to be using Montessori methods in our Tot School and home preschool, the alphabet will be introduced in a different way. Just remember that the point of Mommy Camp is to have fun. If something doesn’t work for you and your toddler, feel free to skip it! this post makes use of affiliate links With Squeaker, one thing that we’ve done with her is talked to her about everything. Welcome back to another week of Mommy Camp for Toddlers! I hope you had fun last week working on your gross motor skills. And if you want to continue to work on those, definitely do! This week’s theme is all about fine motor skills and as I explained last week, I post these on a Friday so you can use the weekend to gather materials for the upcoming week. Posts will be on Friday so you can use the weekend to prepare for the upcoming week ahead. But why have something just for toddlers? Well, if they see their big siblings going off to summer camp, this could be a fun way to keep them active and give them their own summer camp experience at home. It’s really whatever you make…

How I’m Preparing To Homeschool My Toddler

After Squeaker was born, the decision was made that I would stay at home with her. Partially because we couldn’t afford daycare or a babysitter but mostly because it was something I wanted to do. Later on, I started wondering if homeschooling would be in our future as well. And, at the very least, we would homeschool preschool and pre-K, with Kindergarten as a possibility as well. We might go beyond that but we haven’t decided 100% just yet. Squeaker is 17 months old as of this post so here’s how I’m preparing to homeschool my toddler.
