Our Top Favorite Thanksgiving Books for Toddlers and Preschoolers

We love to celebrate holidays and to help with holiday celebrations, I love a good variety of books. Books are a staple part of our home to begin with, so I want to start sharing a weekly book list with you. Usually they’ll be books for toddlers and preschoolers, but I’ll also have a few book lists for adults as well. This week, we’re getting ready for Thanksgiving with these fun 25 Thanksgiving books for toddlers and preschoolers. Please note that some of these are religious in nature, but for the most part they’re secular based. In the future, I will have book lists that are Christian focused. I have a lot of ideas for these lists though most of them are based on whatever…

Origins of Halloween

Every year, on October 31st, comes the holiday of Halloween. Some may celebrate it, while others don’t. Some may go all out and decorate their homes, while others will treat it like any other day. Growing up, I think I looked forward to the costumes than I did trick or treating. And now, as an adult and a parent, I definitely enjoy decorating for Halloween. I don’t go all out because it’s not a major holiday for us, but I do like to carve pumpkins and hand out candy. When I had my old site, I always had holiday pages up and one section was dedicated especially to the history and legends of Halloween. I want to bring a bit of that back and talk…

How the Easter Bunny Came to Be

It’s hard to believe that Easter is coming up so quickly! These past few weeks have really flown by and I had meant to have this posted earlier. And because the Easter bunny has become such a symbol of Easter, I’m also including a fun round up of Easter bunny themed crafts. It may seem odd to many that a bunny has become part of the religious festival of Easter, but the truth is that the Easter Bunny origin goes further back than you might think!
