Handprint Toilet Paper Roll Turkey Craft for Kids

We absolutely love easy crafts! And this handprint toilet paper roll turkey fits the bill. It’s so hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner!  A part of me is focused on Christmas and planning for 2017. I know, I know.. it’s only the middle of November. But it’s also just a month and a half away from the end of the year. But that won’t stop me from sharing one more easy craft idea for your toddler or preschooler. And this one focuses on incorporating handprint art (a favorite of mine) with reusing a toilet paper roll. I’m on a bit of a toilet paper roll craft kick because I find them so easy to do. It’s also one of those craft supplies that…

Is Kiwi Crate a Good Fit for Autistic Children?

If you’re thinking about getting a subscription box for your autistic child, I would encourage you to look into Kiwi Crate. We were given a box to try and I truly believe that kiwi crate is a good fit for autistic children.  To round out the afterschooling curriculum, I wanted to do arts and crafts. Ideally, I would like to be able to do these myself with Sweet B, but it’s also nice to have an option that’s already assembled or at least has all of the necessary parts and pieces. Toilet Paper Roll Pirate Craft

Yo ho, me harties! International Talk Like a Pirate Day be coming up on September 19th. It’s one of the few days of the year that I can overlook grammar and spelling in the name of talking like a pirate. I blame this partially on a lifelong love of the ride, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland… only to be fueled further when one of my favorite actors took on the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow. But I digress. I’ve teamed up with a fabulous group of bloggers to aid you in your swashbuckling adventures and to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day in whatever way you see fit. Squeaker and I made a colorful toilet paper roll pirate captain and his (or her)…

Easy Shaun the Sheep Craft

Squeaker is absolutely in love with Shaun the Sheep! She’s had a Shaun stuffed animal of her own for a little over a year now and it was just recently that she discovered the Shaun the Sheep cartoon series on the Kindle. We’ve also watched A Close Shave with her, and she seemed to be pretty fond of that when the sheep were around. With the movie coming out here in the United States soon, and Squeaker getting ever so excited when she sees the trailer, I thought we could make an easy Shaun the Sheep Craft. It was her first time doing a craft with me but I think she did pretty well!  This post contains affiliate links and while you are under no…
