Sharing is caring!

Having a reliable car means more than just having a way of getting around. A reliable car is really an important part of the family. Maybe you think I’m over-exaggerating or putting too much emphasis on a physical possession. But bear with me and I’ll explain. With thanks to Capital One for sponsoring this conversation, I want to tell you what having a reliable car means to our family.

Have we talked enough about the car? I know, technically it’s not a car. It’s a SUV. It’s an older model but it gets us where we need to go.

So why is this vehicle so important?

Well, aside from being the sole car in our family’s possession; Kyle works outside of the home. So he needs a reliable form of transportation.

Makes sense, right? Most families who have a parent who works outside of the home need at least one reliable car or truck.

We also rely on this vehicle to help us to get the majority of our groceries during the week. Sure, I can make do and in a pinch, I know of a few stores that deliver. But the truck is how we get things done.

As a blogger, my job requires me at times to get out and get stuff. Or to go visit places to incorporate into a post. While I may be able to reach these places and do these things on my own; having a reliable car helps. It means not having to wait on a bus or not having to walk everywhere. Granted, I don’t mind the exercise and it’s nice to get out of the house.

But I also don’t like having to haul everything back.

On a more personal level, the truck has been there. When we’ve wanted to take a little break, we were able to pile into the truck and go.

The truck is how we got Squeaker home from the hospital.

The truck is a key part of our family.

But we also realize and recognize that it’s time for something new. But with Kyle working during the week and us not having a whole lot of free time, car shopping hasn’t been at the top of our to-do list. We also realize that it’s not something we can continue to put off.

And that’s where the Capital One Auto Navigator® comes in handy.

Car shopping is very time consuming and I think I will look at an option like this next time we are in the market for a vehicle!
