Sharing is caring!

I’m working on my income report for April so I figured I should get it together and post my goals for May. Not just my blogging goals, of course, but also my personal goals. I haven’t posted these in awhile though I do try to set monthly goals because it helps to keep me on track. And right now, I really need that and some motivation to keep on going.

blog goals for may

I really do have such love/hate relationship with blogging. Though maybe hate is too strong of a word because I haven’t quite gotten to that point. Blogging, for me, is something beyond just being a hobby- this is the backbone of my business plan. And when it’s not going quite as successfully as I would like… well, I tend to get discouraged.

But, I’m going to refocus and regroup and get back on track.

I don’t really have traffic goals because I’m trying not to focus too much on numbers. Yes, I know that they’re important and for my ad money and affiliate money; numbers matter. To networks, numbers matter. But, I also know that if I focus too much on traffic, I’ll neglect everything else.

My Goals:

  • Post consistently (four to five times per week)
  • Mix and balance sponsored posts with evergreen/pillar content
  • Post seasonal/holiday posts as needed
  • Post more crafts and recipes
  • Refresh the blog look to the new color palette
  • Streamline the sidebar
  • Write out my editorial calendar outline for June, July, and August. Possibly beyond

I have several other goals but those will be my priority this month. I want to start gearing up for the launch of my second blog in the summer and I also want to start gearing up for the soft launch of my first course. I’m nervous about both but I also know that they’re going to be essential to getting my business plan in gear.

My personal goals are to take better care of my health by exercising more regularly, eating breakfast every day, and increasing my water intake. There are other things that I could be doing I’m sure, but I’ll start with those.

Do you set monthly goals?
