When my daughter was diagnosed with autism in 2003, my life was turned upside down.
Yes, we had a diagnosis and that certainly counts for something.
But trying to figure out where to begin was another matter entirely.
That’s why one of the initial purposes of this blog was to provide autism resources and inspiration for parents who are new to this journey. Though it may not always be at the forefront of this blog, autism is still a major part of this blog. I’m no medical expert, but I have been there and I’m there with you.
I may or may not eventually do localized resources for the Capital District of NY. I’m also hoping to have national resources, but we’ll see what happens. Running a blog is time consuming and I do have my family to think of as well. Still, I won’t let that get in the way of providing resources and inspiration for families with children on the autism spectrum.
