We’ve talked a bit about how having healthy eating habits will really set the stage for your overall health. And this is true. What we eat has a lot to do with how we feel. So today, let’s take a look at these 4 fat burning breakfast ideas to start your day. Now you may be thinking- but who has time for breakfast? Trust me, even though you may be tempted to skip it; breakfast is important. In fact, I would encourage you to make it one of your health and wellness goals.
I will be the first to admit to it- this is definitely one of those areas that I could improve on. So yes, I need to practice what I preach. I’ve tried out numerous food trackers but can’t seem to stick with them. Flimsy excuse, I know. It would be so easy to just whip up a smoothie in my Magic Bullet. And I’ll start doing that once I find more smoothie recipes to adjust.
Or I can try one of these ideas.
Fat Burning Breakfast Ideas to Start Your Day
Blueberry Oatmeal Pancakes
Here is a super simple way to have a filling breakfast that burns more fat and calories, while also being delicious. Just because you are trying to eat healthier and are careful about your nutrition, doesn’t mean you can’t still have pancakes. You just might want to go from traditional buttermilk pancakes with butter and syrup, and instead have this healthier alternative.
These pancakes are made with some of the regular pancake ingredients, like vanilla extract and eggs. Then you will use low-fat cottage cheese, rolled oats, and blueberries. For the top, combine yogurt with maple syrup.
Smoothies are easy to make in the morning when you need a grab-and-go option, but they can also be really good for you and contain fat burning ingredients. The trick here is to include ingredients that are known to burn fat, like high fiber fruits like strawberries and mango, low-fat dairy products, and greens like kale or spinach. You can make a fruit smoothie with tropical fruits like pineapple and mango, or go traditional with a mixed
berry smoothie of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries.
Also remember that you can use frozen bananas instead of ice, which make the smoothie cold but also add some creaminess to it.
Almond Butter Toast
Here is another fast and easy breakfast that fills you up and burns more fat at the same time. Use whole grain bread for your toast, which on its own is great for fat burning. You will then use some almond butter on top instead of regular butter or peanut butter. On top of that, add some sliced banana. For more flavor, you can drizzle some raw honey on top, but it isn’t necessary and that adds more sugar that you might not want.
One big slice of almond butter toast with banana slices can be under 300 calories, so it is a good size for a breakfast.
Eggs are a great source of protein and provide some excellent fat burning properties. A simple way to make eggs in the morning is to scramble up some eggs with a little low-fat cheese and your choice of chopped veggies. Some good options are bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and mushrooms.
Study after study shows that people who skip breakfast end up eating more the rest of the day than people who eat a solid breakfast every morning. Statistics show that as many at 50% of us don’t eat breakfast.
We’re too busy. We don’t like breakfast foods. We’re not hungry. We’re trying to lose weight.
Sad to say, none of those reasons are valid. There are many healthy breakfasts that can either be bought or made that are fast and even portable. There’s no law that says you have to eat breakfast foods for breakfast. You legitimately might not feel hungry in the morning, particularly if you aren’t accustomed to eating breakfast.
Eating a smart or healthy breakfast can improve your performance in your work area. Healthy breakfast also contains glucose levels as an essential carbohydrate that is required for the proper functioning of the brain. As per many studies, eating a healthy breakfast can improve your level of concentration and memory. Your brain will work actively throughout the day. In addition to the healthy breakfast, some physical exercise is also essential to stay fit.
A healthy breakfast is what keeps you going, and it is essential for you to meet your body’s daily nutritional needs. By eating a healthy breakfast daily, you get to have the right amount of nutrients in your body which can benefit your overall health.
